How to conduct badges earned in the army?

For example, when a soldier can get a "DRIVER - M" badge? Is it Part of the AIT?

Milpas Post, 25/10/2005, issued on that has changed the requirements for drivers badge. It reads as follows: Section 8-28d, a condition of eligibility for the pilot, a soldier must - (1) Qualify for and possess a current 346 (U.S. Government vehicles Motor operator identification card), issued as prescribed by AR 600-55, and (2) be assigned duties and responsibilities as driver or the assistant of government vehicles for a minimum period of 12 consecutive months or for at least 8,000 miles without a vehicle accident motor or the violation of the Government of traffic recorded on his DA Form 348-1, R (Equipment Operator Qualification Record (Except Aircraft)) or (3) perform satisfactorily for a minimum period of one year as an active qualified driver instructor or motor vehicle examiner. Those have a cow about it they give. It exists since 1942, this is not something new.
