Amherst Pheasant

Could a Lady Amherst's Pheasant breed with a Golden Pheasant?

I'm thinking they're like the difference between a German Shepard and a Dalmatian not like the difference between a house dog and a hyena, right?
Just interested in the theory; I'm not a breeder.

Yes you can crossbreed these two Pheasants,!!

But why?

The Lady Amherst,is a "Rare breed" and I believe is still on the endangered list,

So you would be depleting the gene pool by crossbreeding it would be much better if you could get hold of a male/female,which ever you need.

The plus side would they would be a good investment, rather than cross breeding
