I'm making a Medusa costume for halloween, have a long black curly wig, how can i make the snakes ?

I want to make the snakes at the front stand up though !!

You could do something similar to what a friend of mine did to her wig.

She explained it to me, but I didn't catch all of it. But basically, she took some of the hairs and (I believe...) braided them. She then glued these strands to wires and twisted them into the shapes you see and finished by hairspraying them like mad. Then again, I don't know how hard this is. Said friend is pretty much a pro with wig styling.

I've seen a similar thing done with pipecleaners. A friend used one to make a single curl that one character has, but used some hair spray or something to keep the little fibers flatter. It looked like it was hair from her wig. Then again, you want snakes...
