Blue Gold

I have an Umbrella Cockatoo who is my sweet baby. But I am planning to take in a blue and gold. I want to know if keeping them together will finish the job? I am taking the debate on this issue. Because I need them to be able to be together to spend enough time with them every day. The majority of the day they will be either on me or in the same room or on a swing stand. So they would need to agree. Please only experienced owners Bird meet.
This is not a good mix in all circumstances. They can never stand together, for obvious reasons. But even if they get along well with supports separate play and so it is not good for the macaw. Macaws are very at risk for problems breathing when you live with a dust / dander types. As you probably already know, cockatoos are among the worst when it comes to that. Other birds may agree with them, but a macaw respiratory system is very sensitive. At the very least you would have to run HEPA filtered air cleaners all the time to keep that breathes in the Macaw, at a minimum. They were rescues and not on purpose, but I share a macaw Tiels space with gray and with Africa. Not ideal at all for the macaw, but with lots of fresh air and my air filter, I hope I keep the air unpolluted by particles as possible. I'm not saying do not take the macaw, but be aware of his weaknesses respiratory and be prepared to keep its cleanest air possible. Good luck with your decision.
