Blue Irridescent
Posted on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 6:23 amCan anyone explain rainbow clouds?
Yesterday I saw a cloud that had a pale Iridescent Blue glow to it. I did not drink and I was not alone. This happened just a couple miles east of Lake Michigan. Can someone explain that?
Pantagruel is correct. On rare occasions, you can have the perfect combination of cirrus cloud ice crystals high in the atmosphere and sunlight at just the right angle (greater than 58 degrees) when creating a phenomenon known as cloud in the sky. I think is one of the few sites in all weather.
