Classic Shell
Posted on Friday, November 13th, 2009 at 2:07 amI want a Mustang 1960, would it be cheaper to get a car for 1k shell and put a motor in, or buy one that works?
I between $ 7,000 and $ 10,000, and I'm looking to buy my first car I just turned 16. For that price I'm not sure would be better, get an already running and the mustang "Ok" status or just get a body and put an engine and passenger in it. The reason I like the idea of using a shell, is that my ultimate goal is to make a resto-mod. I wish to make a pleasant and modern interior with the look of the classic Mustang to the outside. What is the best way? What could I do with $ 10,000 of each path? What would it cost to do a resto-mod inside, but leave the engine alone? And any other infromation purchase or restoration of classic Mustangs in my price range. Thank you, I really appreciate the help
You should also consider that this car can be expensive to insure. Check your insurance before you buy one, for example here - carquotes.fateback.com
