Cockatoo Feathers
Posted on Monday, June 29th, 2009 at 10:11 amWhat is wrong with a cockatoo when he has no feathers at all?
Oh, sorry, the cockatoos fly freely in my area and land in my garden every day. It has absolutely no feathers and he still eats, but the cockatoo others hunt. I was afraid This bird can be contagious, because children hold power and cockatoos. We only eat sunflower seeds. And veterans say it's ok I would never put a bird in a cage. Thank you for your answers. Yes, I asked my vet ... and it has simply cats and dogs and was not sure about the birds and veterinarians are very expensive ... So I was hoping someone knew.
Typically, they do (a form of self-harm as they pick there own feathers) when they are stressed and / or bored, and when they are left in a cage too long. They are intelligent birds and need things to keep them busy and their minds engaged. If you work and there is nobody to home to keep them busy there are toys and enrichment items that can help in this regard. There is also a small chance that your bird has mites some kind.I take the bird to the vet and see what recommends.Hope aid.
