Color Trim

My husband and I are thinking to paint our room a deep Red Color and furniture of the room with black furniture. (We know it's going to be dark since he sleeps ... during the day is just what we're going for. However, we can not agree on a color finish. I think we should paint the trim and back doors SOMETHING (gray, perhaps?), he said leave blank. I think white will look goofy with all the dark colors we have. What you all think?
I personally think a deep red in a bedroom is luxurious, comfortable and warm. I want to paint my room red, but I have not yet found the right time. There are a number of options you have. 1. Trims, doors, windows - white (assuming, black, red and White Color scheme make it a good in itself) 2. Versions of the same color as the walls - I've done several times. 3. Stripes, window frames - The color tones or shades of the primary color. 4. Grey might work if your red is a deep red. Personally, I like the color range Dulux and suggestions have selected "Memory Musk" Dulux (Dark Red); Marais (very Dark Blue / black) and Partita (gray). These three could function. 5. Select pots and test projections paint around in your room and see how it all works with light and furniture selection. 6. If you select a color and paint your room and then really do not remember "its only paint" - and can be painted again (I changed my bedroom color 4 times!)
