Corian Adhesive
Posted on Saturday, November 15th, 2008 at 10:22 amIs it possible to combine corian and granite, side by side on a full-length.?
I have a Corian worktop with built in sink, but not wide enough to cover length wardrobes. I have a piece of granite countertop. Can I get the granite cut into 2 and use of each side of the counter sink corian? How do I combine them - this tape, etc.? That's all I have to work with. Will not be able to pay anything for several years - now is formica dirty the house was a rental for 40 + years. Not be award win, just functional and clean.
While it's good to use different materials in the kitchen, it is usually done with one of the perimeter cabinets and on the island. I think the way you think it would be funny to look, not to mention the question of things in the seam between the two materials. I think you're better off buying a new countertop when you can afford. Here is a link to a kitchen where you can view how to divide it. I think they use the same hardware, but you'll get the idea. http://www.oldhouseweb.com/architecture-and-design/country-kitchen.shtml
