Crystal Clear
Posted on Saturday, August 30th, 2008 at 10:12 amIs this "Crystal Clear" as a metaphor or simile?
I was recently talking with a friend about this. Personally, I think it's a comparison which compares the object to the clarity of a crystal, it is fair to restate clearly like a crystal. That's my opinion and I need confirmation if I'm right or wrong about this, so which one it is? and why be useful too:)
It's a metaphor. You say * is * very clear - not that it is crystal clear. Hope this helps:)
