Why do images look bad photoshop on my computer?

I use Photoshop 7 and a lot of selective coloring and the colors "run" most are red and cyan. They show mostly on faces where there should be no trace of Dark Red or cyan. The pictures do not look bad side of color running, but when I save and reopen photoshop to see them again or when I convert them to another file type, they look horrible and extremely pixelated. Is it possible that I can solve this problem, and why is it?

You know, it might be the settings of your monitor. I open different files on a computer / monitor and it is completely different from other computers and monitors. I would check the resolution and color balance of red and cyan, etc. ... Good Luck! Thank you for reading!
