Edged Ribbon

Im creating the Wreath Letters D A D individually, But my friend wants the ribbon looped around the edges (as seen here on this link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dad-wreath-tribute-funeral-flowers-St-Albans-area_W0QQitemZ8280861485QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3097QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem ) Can anyone guide me and tell me how to do it please? The ribbon is just folded kind of like an S shape and glued at each point. I hope that makes sense.
