I'm having a halloween party, and i want to make them all voodoo dolls as party favors, but what do the pins mean and how do they work in general. are there any symbols and stuff???? they are just for fun, but i would like to know.

Voodoo dolls are very serious things, you shouldn't and probably can't make proper ones without intending too. The fact is that there is a lot of ritual that goes into a voodoo doll, not just forming one out of cloth, sticks or clay. There is consecration done and similar things that cannot be done without proper offerings to the loa or intent.
