Glass Plastic
Posted on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 at 12:31 pmWhat is a harder material glass or plastic?
In there optimum mass what has the greatest tensile durability, glass or plastic?
Clearly, glass is harder.
Ha! I made a funny!
By the way, hardness is not what makes glass bulletproof. Bullet proof glass is mostly just thicker, and layered for strength.
And for those that think hardness is the point, try to make ANY piece of plastic scratch glass. Now, try it the other way around.
And tell that guy that you CAN make bulletproof plastic. WWII fighter cockpits windscreens were an acrylic plastic, as well as fighter jets of later years.
And what does he think Kevlar is? Butterscotch?
