Grosgrain Bow

Or like any bands elastic .. I love them, but I can not because of my fringe. And I do want my hair back and go straight down, one little volume might work.
Try to blow or flat ironing your bangs on the right side as you like. Back comb the hair that is above your head and rub slightly once you've reached the desired height. It is your volume. Then put the headband in the part that separates the fringe from the rest of your hair you just combed back and add a touch of spray. This way you have some volume on top. If your hair is poker straight, you might want a little tousle for this "natural still lookin good from the beach look" (soft, not crunchy like gel) that will add some volume and throughout. This way, you can wear your hair down or hanging on the wall a little (a little hairpins) and it'll be really nice ... casual and not like you're trying too hard. LOL 
If your side fringe is pending at all, you can use a bobby pin under the banner to have a nice smooth sweep across your forehead. Spray if necessary. Hope this makes sense and helps! It really sounds much more involved than it is. It's a style to 5-10 minutes, easy.
