Hackle Guinea
Posted on Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 at 2:08 pmNew & Old Guinea Pig aggression?
And I looked on cavyspirit.com introductions to my old and did what it says site. Once I had both in the brand new cage that I built today, they said they were a little aggressive with each others. They got in 2 TIFFs little thinning, but my old kept his teeth chattered and raise his hackles. So, my friend did what he describes the wide yawn cavy spirit which may be a sign of attack. She continues to be random if the new piggy bank shows no sign of aggression or something like that, I can see anyway for her. I am worried and do not know what to do. Someone please give me advice on how I proceed with my cavy? I am able to separate them, if anyone believes this is necessary. The only thing that is new in the pig can be considered aggressive, it makes it a bit more pitched hum from time to time.
I give them a little time together and see if their condition improves. If they fight very bad, I separate them. You can also try putting them in cages next to each other so they can get used to eachother like that. But I wait it out at the end of the night i bet they will be friends! Good Luck!
