Hair Clips

I've just spent the weekend as field marshal at the local soccer tournament. I spend a great deal of time asking female players (including my daughter) to pull all of the bobby pins and assorted hair clips from their hair. As a Mom and a nurse I can almost visualize possible injuries from these hair implements.But on-line I am unable to locate any statistics or incidents involving said implements. Any horror stories out there?
You know how the end of the bobby pin has the rubber covering? That comes off pretty easily, especially because I use my mouth to pry them open which I'm sure 99% of people do.
Well I play volleyball and there are some players out there who can injure just about ANYONE with their serves/hits, whatever.
Well there is a girl on my team who is one of those people and I did NOT heed the advice of my coach and remove my bobby pins
Needless to say, pulling that flippin piece of metal out of my head was not very fun at all. It wasnt too serious, but it hurt like H***.
