what is the best way to clean a digital SLR sensor without having proffessionaly done?

need to clean my sensor. tried air. just wondering gently wipe with aq tip or mico-fiber fabric.

do not. if there is a scratch on the sensor, it's over. try to blow dry air from a rubber bulb on the sensor for cleaning. Do not use COMPRESSED AIR CANS because diethylethane may spring from the box as a liquid and stain the sensor, and you are Shiite stream if that happens. when times are tough, and there is a secure place. some might recommend a damp cloth using methanol.
