Can buckles be replaced on a backpack?

I broke one of the plastic buckles on my new backpack thus making the straps to hold my sleeping mat useless.

Most the time the buckles are stitched in, replacement parts can be found but cutting the stitching and redoing it are more difficult. Contact the maker of your pack see if they will cover it under a warranty it may have. Good luck!
