Ribbons Bows

While trying to fix my floppy drive and had to pull out the c: drive ribbons. Now I just get a blank screen.?

What have I done? Lights come on for the hard drive but it displays nothing on screen Can I fix it? How can I be positive that I have hooked up the right cables. I feel like a monkey doing brain surgery with a spanner.
I'd really appreciate some help. thanks...

one of the ends of the ribbon cable is backwards, on the hdd itself the #1 pin has a red stripe, make sure it is aligned towards the power connector.

If the hdd is okay, flip the connector on the motherboard.
