im making a mermaid tail that i can swim with and im adding some detail like fins along the side and i want a see through fabric,i found a fabric i like but idk if it can go underwater heres the link

i already found the spandex i need,this is just 2 add a see through look over the fins it dont need 2 be stretchy
Yes, you can wash this fabric or put it in a pool, but it is not stretchy (it's a woven). And it will ravel like crazy on all cut edges unless they're properly finished.
What I think you really want are swimming suit knits, generally nylon-lycra or polyester-lycra blends. Some places to start looking: http://www.spandexhouse.com/ and http://www.fabricdepotco.com
Make sure you get chlorine-resistant fabrics if they're going in a pool.
