Unfinished Wood

What is the best way to cover raw wood for the winter?

I recently had my porch rebuilt and it was much too cold to do anything. This is a 1x4 T & G pine floors. How do I cover? The plastic does not seem a good idea because moisture would be trapped underneath, is not it? Does the floor all winter last until I could get a weekend hot enough to coat? Any help is greatly appreciated

Do not cover it with anything. It will do more harm than good. In washing Spring it with a bleach solution of TSP and rinse with a pressure washer. Give him two days to dry and apply whatever coating you want.
